1. Agree in writing
Email sales@desertrich.com with your name, the price you are accepting or offering, the intended use, and your registrar. The buy-it-now is $47,500. The owner replies with escrow instructions. There is no invoice that asks for a personal wire.
2. Open escrow
Escrow.com is the default because both sides can track it. A different licensed domain escrow is fine if both sides agree before anyone pays. You fund escrow. The owner starts the transfer only after escrow confirms the deposit.
3. Push or auth code
- Registrar push. Fastest when your account is at the same registrar. Often the same day once the account ID is confirmed.
- Auth-code transfer. You start the transfer at your registrar with the code the owner provides inside escrow’s process. Most registries complete this in 3–7 business days. Some registrars add a lock period on newly transferred names — plan DNS for that.
4. You confirm, then funds move
Look up the domain in your registrar account, not in a screenshot. Tell escrow you have it. Escrow releases funds to the owner. You set nameservers. This marketing site is not transferred as a business; you should plan to replace it.
What to have ready
- The registrant email you want on the WHOIS/RDAP record.
- Your registrar account number if you want a push.
- A person who can approve the transfer the same day escrow clears.
